About This Event

Join us in the warmth of the Historic Fort Snelling Visitor Center for a complimentary cup of coffee and our Hearth and Home program.

We'll discuss how and where soldiers and their families, officers, and enslaved people lived in the early years of Fort Snelling and hear some of the stories of people who resided at the fort.

Using a multi-media presentation and objects, we'll talk about the Commandant's House and its early 1800s "modern technology."

Program presented indoors at the Historic Fort Snelling Plank Visitor Center and is included in regular admission. This is part of a series of chats: click here to see topics for all three program dates. Admission includes the Many Voices, Many Stories, One Place exhibit and more.
