The intern assists with the coordination  and production of the MNHS Digital Production and Programming department; including audio and visual media production, writing and producing for the website, research and configuring third-party tools for content and program delivery, asset collection, storyboarding, copy editing and measurement. This position will offer opportunities to create digital content in a matrixed environment, leveraging experience and resources with modern storytelling tools.

Student Qualifications
  • Experience and interest in working with history, digital media/journalism/media production
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactively motivated to develop new projects 
  • Creative thinking skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite & Google Suite
  • Ability to use Google Meet/Zoom for meetings
Student Responsibilities
  • Assist with Audio/Visual/Web production which may include research, script/question preparation, asset gathering and approval, assisting on photo/video/audio recordings
  • Assist with transcription and captioning of videos 
  • Configure third-party tools (e.g. 3DVista [VR], AR, Games) for program delivery
  • Assist with measuring success/failure of digital programs
  • Participate with Education and Interpretation division in requirements-gathering for projects 
  • Support collaborative programming initiatives with organizing and communicating about upcoming projects
Knowledge Intern is expected to gain
  • Experience in multimedia storytelling
  • Working knowledge of commonly used platforms for content delivery (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, Spotify/Apple Podcasts)
  • Collaborative project management skills
  • Basic understandings of innovation in arts/culture/humanities environment 
  • Increased knowledge of the process of how history is recorded and retold
