Not Receiving Our Emails? Here’s How to Fix It!
We want to make sure you never miss a membership update, ticket receipt, or newsletter. If you notice that our emails aren't reaching your inbox, they may have been accidentally misrouted by your email provider.
Below are the most common reasons this happens and simple step-by-step instructions on how to ensure our emails always find you.
Common Reasons You Aren’t Receiving Our Emails
- Accidental Spam Marking: You or an automatic filter might have accidentally clicked "Report Spam" or "Junk" on a previous email. Once this happens, your provider automatically blocks future messages from us.
- The "Promotions" or "Categories" Tab: If you use Gmail or Yahoo, your emails might be perfectly safe but hidden away in a secondary tab like "Promotions," "Social," or "Other" instead of your Primary inbox.
- Aggressive Spam Filters: Email providers constantly update their security. Sometimes, automated updates cause legitimate organizational emails to be flagged as junk.
- Full Mailbox: If your cloud storage or inbox is completely full, your email provider will reject ("bounce") incoming messages until space is cleared.
- Typographical Errors: It's easy to make a small typo when signing up or renewing. If you've gone through the steps below and still get nothing, contact us [link to contact page] to verify your email address on file or subscribe here[link to email signup page].
Step 1: Whitelist Our Domains (The Best Permanent Fix)
Whitelisting tells your email provider that you explicitly trust our email. To ensure you receive all types of communication, we recommend whitelisting our two primary sending domains: em.mnhs.org and info.mnhs.org.
Here are the specific email addresses we use for different types of mail:
- For Newsletters:
mymn@em.mnhs.org - For Memberships:
membership@em.mnhs.org - For Receipts & Tickets:
boxoffice@info.mnhs.org
