About This Event

Join us for History Matters Day at the Capitol to speak up for history. Let state legislators know why history matters and how their support of history has made a difference in communities across Minnesota.

History Matters Day at the Capitol provides an opportunity to share the work of MNHS and other history partners and to urge legislators to provide state funding for history preservation.

MNHS CEO Kent Whitworth and MNHS Director of Public Policy David Kelliher will kick off the morning and share how to get involved.

This hybrid event takes place both in-person at the Minnesota State Capitol in room G-19, and will be live-streamed remotely via Zoom. To register to attend in person, click the Register button on this page. To register to attend via Zoom, click here.

As part of registration for this event, we ask also that attendees fill out this form no later than February 9 so we can connect them with their representatives during the event. If you have any questions, please contact Olivia Gentilcore.
