About This Event
Join acclaimed author Alex Prud’homme as he discusses the culinary and cultural influence of Julia Child, his grand aunt. Prud’homme will provide unique insight on the lives of Julia and Paul Child, explain how he and Julia wrote her memoir My Life in France, and reveal how Julia televised two state dinners from behind the scenes. With personal anecdotes, compelling insight, and amusing accounts of Julia's White House visits, Prud’homme illuminates a side of Julia Child that you won’t learn about anywhere else.
The talk starts at 3:00 pm in the 3M Auditorium. This program will feature a presentation, a Q&A session, and book signing. Books will be available for purchase. Registration is recommended, but not required. A paid ticket or museum membership is required to visit the Julia Child: A Recipe for Life exhibition.
