About This Event
Climb aboard our horse-drawn trolley for an hour-long guided tour of the Forest History Center!
Two strong and gentle draft horses will pull a wheeled trolley on a narrated tour of the Forest History Center. Our guide will describe the geology, the natural history, and the human history that make up our 200-acre site. While rolling through the forest, you’ll visit the Mississippi River, our old Homestead ruins, our turn-of-the-century logging camp and river drive camp, and a 1934 Minnesota Forest Service cabin. After the tour, you'll have the opportunity to climb our 100-foot fire lookout tower for a bird's-eye view. Participants will ride in a covered, horse-drawn trolley.
