About This Event
Tour the historic Pillsbury A Mill, once the largest flour mill in the world, and today the home to much of Minneapolis’ artist community. The mill stands as a reminder of the city's past and its future. This tour will take visitors through and around this National Historic Landmark and local treasure. Hear the stories of the construction of the mill, the people who worked there, how it functioned as a flour mill for 120 years, as well as the process of converting it from flour mill to apartment complex.
This tour includes approximately a half mile of walking sometimes on uneven surfaces, ramps, and stairs.
Arrival Note: This tour begins and ends at A Mill Artist Lofts (315 SE Main St, Minneapolis, MN 55414, across the river from Mill City Museum). Meet there to begin your tour - do not check in at Mill City Museum.
