About This Event
What can the farm teach us about the food on supermarket shelves today? Through fascinating historical documents, we’ll uncover how grocery stores and supermarkets have shaped and responded to some of the biggest questions facing our food system. Join us and speaker Tracy Deutsch as we explore their evolving role, reflect on the choices behind everyday food access, and consider the challenges that still remain.
Tracy Deutsch is an associate professor of history at the University of Minnesota whose work explores gender and women’s history, capitalism, critical food studies, and modern U.S. history.
