About This Event
As the final step of a long harvesting process, threshing the wheat would separate the grain from the plant. In the 19th century, this was the climax of an entire growing season's efforts. Now is your chance to join our farm hands in this time-honored tradition by helping to bring grain bundles from the fields and thresh the grain. Start your day with coffee and donuts in the historic kitchen. After bagging up the grain, enjoy a rest on the porch with a glass of lemonade or some switchel if you're feeling adventurous.
