The Civil War has profoundly influenced the culture of the United States, and one notable impact is the way Christmas is celebrated. This historical presentation, presented with a lighthearted touch, explores the four “campaigns” of Christmas during the Civil War, and reveals how, ultimately, Christmas triumphs in this conflict.
The presenter, George Romano, has been a proud member of Toastmasters for 28 years and also volunteers with the Minnesota AARP Speakers Bureau. He retired from consulting at IBM in 2020. One of his passions is researching, writing, and delivering presentations on the Civil War.
