Family Day

About This Event

Create memories together with family and friends at Historic Fort Snelling at our Family Day.

Activities will include playing historic games, experiencing an early 19th century school lesson, helping to build a replica log cabin, assisting in the kitchen and much more!

You'll have the chance to:

• See the Shops in the fort at work and try your hand working in the Carpenter's Shop
• Play period games and take part in an egg race!   
• Don't forget to go to the Schoolhouse for a lesson...
• Learn how people made sure they would "sleep tight"
• Help in the Commandant's House Kitchen
• Join hands-on activities
• Get a lesson in playing the drum and banjo
