Story by Tanaǧidaŋ To Wiŋ Tara Perron
Illustrations by Holly Young
In Our Sacred Land of Phežúta, Grandmother and Granddaughter wander through a blooming landscape to greet Grandmother’s friends—the plants in her sacred garden. Grandmother’s understanding of the plants they encounter has been passed down for generations. She explains how the plants are phežúta (medicines). Granddaughter cherishes these gifts of knowledge, and she is grateful to her grandmother for sharing her wisdom.
