Mille Lacs Ojibwe Social History Project

This project was undertaken by US West Research as part of a Minnesota Historical Society project to document various aspects of the history of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Indians. The narrators, all associated with the band, discuss such subjects as childhood, family, education, work (both on and off the reservation), social customs, language retention, relations with tribal and local governments, current economic and social developments on the reservation, and related subjects.
