Marina James

Marina James was born in 1937 in Granite Falls, Minnesota to Victoria and Raymond Smoke. (She was born there while her mother and aunt were visiting relatives.) Marina attended an Indian Residential School in Portage la Prairie from the age of 4 through 14. She is a member of the Dakota Tipi First Nation Community.
