The visitor center offers an interpretive display about Native American culture and prairie ecology with a prairie plant exhibit that compares the root system of corn compared to a native prairie plant.
Note: The drinking fountain is temporarily unavailable – please bring your own water.
Visitors can learn about the atlatl (spear-thrower) and how to use it to throw spears at a bison target. The atlatl range will only be open when staff are available.
The museum store includes Native American gifts and jewelry, snacks, caps, t-shirts, and sweatshirts, as well as books on history, archaeology, astronomy, and nature. It is open during regular site hours.
