Training/Experience: Brio Studio Architecture has a passion for preserving existing civic buildings and finding the best ways to maintain beautiful structures, inside and out. Principal Architect, Martina Foss Ashworth, has strong ability and experience to manage multi-faceted projects, effectively work and communicate with a project team having a wide base of participants, and execute a civic project that serves both the agency and the public at large. Martina has been working in the design and construction industry for 18 years, with eight (8) years focusing on historic preservation work across the Midwest. Martina is a Registered Architect in the State of Minnesota (#51227), National Council of Architecture Registration Boards (NCARB) Certified Architect and meets the qualifications for Historic Architecture as part of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Martina has a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Bethel University. Martina previously worked as a Project Architect for Collaborative Design Group and Miller Dunwiddie, with a focus on historic and existing architectural projects for public/civic, religious and educational clients. Past clients include the State of Minnesota, Grand Forks County (ND), Municipal Building Commission (Minneapolis), City of Shakopee, Cathedral of Saint Paul, Carondelet Catholic School, City of Dawson (MN), City of Rochester (MN), Milwaukee County (WI), University of Minnesota and Carleton College.
