The milling industry made Minneapolis famous. At Mill City Museum, located in the ruins of what was once the world’s largest flour mill, students learn about the history of industry, the Mississippi River, and the growth of the city.
School group standard museum field trip
Field trips to Mill City Museum include one lesson of your choice, a self guided scavenger hunt in the exhibits, the award-winning Flour Tower show, access to the 9th floor Koch Rooftop Observation Deck with stunning views of the Mississippi River and St. Anthony Falls, and the “Minneapolis in 19 Minutes Flat” movie. Choose from one of nine museum lessons to customize your field trip.
School age care/scout groups museum visit
Get the information you need to know before you schedule your field trip visit.
Take a few minutes to prepare yourself, your chaperones, and your students for your field trip.
- $8 per student, $80 minimum group fee
- Teachers free
- One free adult per five students. Additional chaperones invoiced at student rate.
No payment will be accepted the day of the field trip. All schools will be invoiced after their trip. For more information see our Program Policies.
