Preserving the Records of the E-Legislature
Introduction
In April 2005, the Minnesota Historical Society, the Office of the Revisor of Statutes, and the Legislative Reference Library launched a project to explore and test the technologies available to preserve the electronic records of the Minnesota legislature. The project is funded by a grant of $264,000 from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), an agency of the federal government. The partners will receive technological help and services from the San Diego Supercomputer Center, and staff from the California State Archives, State Library, and Legislative Counsel will evaluate the project for adoption in their state.
