Legislative History

Overview

State partners stress the importance of not only knowing how to preserve legislative materials, but making the public aware of how to find and use available legislative materials. The goal of this white paper is to provide background information and guidance to those who are looking for more information about legislative documents and resources available when compiling a legislative history.

White Paper

The following paper explains the types of records available to the public, format (paper , analog, or digital), and where and how to access each type of record in the state of Minnesota.

This paper can be used as a guide, as similar records and policies are available to constituents of other states.

Resources for Other States
