ST. PAUL, Minn (May 1, 2026) – Artists are encouraged to apply to exhibit their work at the Minnesota State Capitol’s 3rd Floor Exhibit Gallery. The Capitol Art Exhibit Advisory Committee (CAEAC) is accepting proposals through June 15.

Individuals, organizations, or culture bearers are eligible to submit their exhibit proposals. According to Minnesota state statute, exhibits should tell Minnesota stories and engage people to:

  • Reflect on Minnesota history
  • Understand Minnesota government
  • Recognize the contributions of Minnesota’s diverse peoples
  • Inspire citizen engagement
  • Appreciate the varied landscapes of Minnesota

A minimum of three artists will be selected to exhibit their work in 2028. More information including eligibility requirements, Q&A sessions, and the application form are available here.

About the Minnesota Historical Society
