GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (October 5, 2026) – A new fall event at the Forest History Center will encourage visitors to put their problem-solving skills to the test. The Great Fall Forest Scavenger Hunt will be a day of friendly and fun competition outdoors in the north woods.

On October 17, 2026, from 11am to 3 pm, guests can complete a series of tasks around the Forest History Center, including at the logging camp, the waterfront, and many other areas on our 200-acre site. Teams of two to six people can solve clues and complete tasks. This program is suitable for visitors of all ages.

Maps with activities will be distributed starting at 11 am. The fastest team to complete the Scavenger Hunt wins the grand prize; all other teams that complete the Scavenger Hunt will have their team entered to win hundreds of dollars in prizes.
