Mille Lacs Indian Museum Celebrates Milestone Anniversary

ST. PAUL, Minn (June 4, 2026) – The Mille Lacs Indian Museum is turning 30! The museum, which opened in its current location in 1996, illustrates the journey of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe from their settlement in Minnesota 300 years ago to their culture, traditions, and lives today.

To honor this milestone anniversary, Minnesotans of all ages are invited to celebrate! The celebratory program on June 13 will include artist demonstrations, walking tours, special collection tours, as well as a short program featuring leaders of the Minnesota Historical Society and the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe.

Included with site admission
