PRESTON, Minn. (May 21, 2025) – Grab a partner and come on down for a free bluegrass concert in a historic venue! Becky & the 48s will bring musical joy to Historic Forestville on June 7.

Enjoy an evening full of music, dancing, and entertainment at the Historic Forestville barn with Becky & the 48s! This free bluegrass show will feature the band The 48s, who combine the soulful sounds of classic bluegrass with a modern attitude, and award-winning Becky Shlegel, who likes to combine classic country, contemporary folk, and bluegrass influences to craft her unique American sound.

The concert will run from 6:30–8 pm and Reuben's and Things Tips & Tails' food truck will be serving refreshments and food throughout the event.

This will be the first free concert in Historic Forestville’s Bands in the Barn series for summer 2025. Other upcoming concerts include Barn Dance with Bob Bovee, Pop Wagner & Shawn Glidden on June 21 and An Evening with Charlie Parr on August 29.

Funding provided by the State of Minnesota’s Legacy Amendment, through the vote of Minnesotans on Nov. 4, 2008. The Legacy Amendment supports efforts to preserve Minnesota land, water, and legacy, including Minnesota history and cultural heritage.
