Golf Cart Driver
Service Summary
Safely drive the Golf Cart in order to provide transportation to guests who prefer or need a ride. This volunteer activity provides access to visitors who might not otherwise be able to participate.
Responsibilities

Safely operate a golf cart on site

Welcome and greet guests, thank guests when done and encourage future visits and membership.

Safely drive the golf cart, being mindful of passenger safety and fully aware of the presence of possible pedestrians and bicycles yielding to all pedestrians, bikes and traffic. Children may not ride on the rear-facing back seat without an adult accompanying them.

Report any inappropriate behavior or customer concerns to site supervisors or managers.

Use a two-way radio to communicate with other cart drivers and historic site employees.
Qualifications

Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory result on a driving record check, and demonstrated ability to drive a golf cart in a safe manner.

Friendly, outgoing, respectful, and customer service-oriented.

Strong level of responsibility and maturity in order to handle situations that may come up with guests.

Punctual, dependable.

Desire to work with guests of all ages.

Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic and changing setting.

Training & Safety
Attend an onsite volunteer training session(s) to gain familiarity with customer service standards, operation of golf cart, safe driving techniques and routes. Typically this training will be conducted on your first shift unless otherwise scheduled.
Time Commitment
Weekly or every-other-week
Wednesday - Saturday
3-5 hour shifts between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM with a lunch break
