Red Wing Jug

A Red Wing white glazed stoneware shoulder jug with adverting for the Sterling Wine House, in St. Paul, MN. Promoted as "The Celebrated Red Wing Jugs, " these popular products were sold in dozens of different shapes and sizes. With a nearly unlimited amount of uses, from the liquor trade to perfume storage, the jugs remained in production from the late 1870s to 1947.
