- In the Shadow of the Acropolis by Laura Zelle & Maxine Davis
Narrated by Jaime-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) and through original testimony by the Ackos Family, this collective memoir tells the tale of a fifteen-year old boy who saved his family, the compelling details of how this "minority within a minority" was almost entirely wiped off the map of civilization during World War II.
- Resonance by Paul Creager
A documentary film retracing the paths of centuries-old Japanese temple bells that survived the scrap metal drives of World War II, only to be taken as war trophies by the U.S. Military, many of these bells were rediscovered (Duluth, MN, Topeka, KS, Arlington VA, Annapolis, MA). Resonance was an award winning short film in 2007 and this expanded 40-minute version will be screened on Tuesday.
