Teachers

As a teacher, you seek opportunities for your students that will expand their boundaries and equip them with the skills and resources necessary for success beyond the classroom.

Whether you work in a public or private school, teach middle or high school, homeschool or an out-of-classroom educator, History Day uses a model of instruction that can be adapted to any classroom setting or learning need.

History Day is an inter-disciplinary historical research project that allows students to dig deep into history and broaden their personal and academic skills. The project also fulfills state Social Studies and English/Language Arts standards (PDF). As you move forward in your History Day process, be sure to bookmark this page as your hub for help, FAQs, and other important information. Visit our Master Teacher Network to see shared educator resources.

Interested in participating?

Your first step is to enroll yourself as an Educator. If you would like your students to participate in Minnesota History Day, whether or not they intend to compete, you must be enrolled as an Educator so the History Day staff knows to include you in all important project and competition communication. Enroll here!
